What We Believe
Our church affirms the following core beliefs:
The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory
For the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life
All those who die in God’s grace through faith are assured eternal salvation; those who die in a state of sin and unbelief suffer the punishment of Hell
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences
God endows all human life with inherent dignity at every stage of development and it must be respected and protected
God designed marriage as a unique conjugal relationship joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, life-long union. God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman joined in marriage
We believe the mission of the Church is to spread the Good News of the Gospel of salvation. We are sent by Christ into all the world to call every person to a life of faith, discipleship, and submission to the Lord Jesus Christ
What do we mean by Biblical, Evangelical, and Conservative?
Biblical
We believe the Bible is the only true, inspired, infallible Word of God, completely inerrant in its original autograph, and totally reliable today, having been accurately preserved by God's providence.
Evangelical
We believe the gospel of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, as defined in the Bible alone, and for the glory of God alone.
Conservative
We hold to historic creeds of the faith, such as the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Heidelberg Catechism. We remain rooted in the historic Reformed tradition. We reject modern, liberal interpretations of Scripture and the supposition that man is the judge of Scripture; rather, we submit to what the Bible teaches us.
We also affirm the Nicene Creed and the Apostles' Creed, historic beliefs of the Christian church:
